What is The Alliance?
The Alliance is the organisation which has been created to promote the idea of closer cooperation between the Realms and Colonies. It has a number of main aims:
[1] To seek new political thought and aims throughout the Realms
[2] To improve the understanding of persons within the Realms of what are essentially their family
[3] To seek to improve the communities of the Realms
[4] To attempt to bring all the developing Realms to developed nations status through a vigorous campaign to get the 'Big Four' (otherwise known as the developed Australia, Canada, New Zealand and United Kingdom) to redirect aid to their fellow Realms
[5] And to create a strong alliance of democratic, prosperous and peaceful nations which wield worldwide influence incommensurate with their size.

How Can I Help This Organisation?
You can help by joining the nearest local chapter and volunteering. Because The Alliance is quite a new organisation , it does not have an extensive organisational structure , and it needs volunteers to assist in the operation of new local chapters . We are grateful for any help you can provide us , and do not ask for administrative qualifications .

Local Chapters
As part of its goal to increase understanding of The Alliance and its aims, and to develop societies with persons of strong moral fibre and integrity, The Alliance has decided to develop local chapters, which will have several branches for each of community, youth and political purposes.
The community branches will be developed to perform local charity and aid work, and will work in cooperation with the youth arm of that chapter. In an attempt to avoid duplication of functions, community branches will work in association with other organisations already there, provided they are of a Realm.
The youth arm of a local chapter will seek to provide programs for young persons to improve their all round personality and develop the ability to create and sustain good relationships in a world increasingly becoming more connected yet further isolated for the average individual. Charity and community work are naturally essential, but the youth arms will also aim to arrange outings for members, and camping and expeditions will be an important part of the programs. Participants must also participate in an extra curricular activity such as piano, hockey etc. A youth arm will have persons of ages 14-25 in them. A person entering them can take any of four grades: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond, each divided into 3rd, 2nd and 1st class honours.
To be eligible for the Bronze award, the participant must be 14 or older at the time of commencement. Eligible participants in the Silver program must be 15 at the time of commencement. For the Gold award the age is 16, and the age of 17 must be achieved to attempt the Diamond award.
To receive a specific honours level one is judged on four factors, and given a score out of 100:
[1] The first twenty five marks are awarded for attendance, and depend on the percentage of attendance at collective activities.
[2] The next twenty five marks are awarded for performance in the charity and community work of the branch.
[3] A further twenty five marks are awarded for the expedition/ hike component.
[4] The final twenty five marks are awarded for a sport or other extra curricular activity of the candidates choice: the instructor in that skill will award an appropriate grade broken down into the following: 10 marks for attitude and the attempt; 5 marks for attendance; 5 marks for improvement in the activity since it was begun; and 5 marks for the instuctor's opinion of the participants overall capability.
All marks when reached using percentages (such as for attendance) will be rounded to the nearest whole number.
Honours are awarded for the following marks being achieved:
95-100:1st class honours with distinction
82-94 : 1st class honours
64-81 : 2nd class honours
46-63 : 3rd class honours
